Place objects inside text

An inline object sits inside a text story at the cursor, like a character. It moves when words are added before it and travels through connected frames as the story reflows. Use this for a small illustration, logo, or symbol that must stay beside a sentence.

Edit a text frame and place the cursor where the object belongs. Choose Insert → Inline image to pick a picture, or copy an existing object and choose Insert → Paste inline. The line grows to fit the object's height, so a large image can change nearby line spacing or push text into the next frame.

After insertion, check the paragraph around it and any threaded frames. If the story becomes overset, enlarge the frame, link another frame, or reduce the object. An object that should float beside text is better placed on the canvas with text wrap.

The Assets panel can locate an inline image, but its bulk Replace action does not swap that inline copy. Select and replace it through the text or image controls.
