Find and replace images in a design

The editor's Assets panel lists the images used in the open design, grouped by their source. Open it in the right rail when a document has many pages or the same picture appears more than once.

Each card shows a thumbnail, a name, the source type, and how many places use the image. Click a card to jump to a use on the canvas. Click it again to cycle through the other uses. This also helps locate images inside groups or text.

Replace repeated artwork#

Hover over an eligible card and choose Replace, then pick a file. The editor swaps every top-level canvas image that uses that source while keeping each frame's size and position. Check the result on each page, especially where the new image has a different aspect ratio. The replacement is part of your design edits, so save the design when you are happy with it.

An image nested inside a group or placed inline in text can be listed and located, but the card's one-click replacement does not rewrite those instances. Select them and use their normal image controls instead. See adding and fitting images for frame options.

The Assets panel concerns the open design. Workspace owners and admins can manage stored uploads across designs in Files & storage.
