Terms of Service

Last updated Jul 13, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Popcorn Editor ("we", "us") governing your use of popcorneditor.com and the Popcorn Editor application (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

The Service

Popcorn Editor is a browser-based design editor for print and digital work: design creation and editing, AI-assisted generation, templates, real-time collaboration, sharing, and export including print production formats (CMYK PDF, PDF/X and related outputs).

We improve the Service continuously; features may change, be added, or be gated differently over time.

Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • Accounts have a lifecycle status. We may operate an approval step for new signups, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
  • You can sign in with a password or with Google.

Plans, credits and billing

  • The Service offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Current plans, prices, included AI credits and features are those shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase; they may change for future billing periods with notice.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled; you can manage or cancel billing from your account at any time, effective at the end of the current period.
  • AI credits meter AI usage. Plan credits reset at the start of each billing period and unused plan credits do not roll over. When your credits are exhausted, AI features pause until the next period, an upgrade, or a credit pack purchase; nothing you have created is ever lost.
  • Credit packs are one-off purchases available on eligible paid plans. Pack credits are consumed after plan credits and expire as stated on the pack at purchase. Packs are non-refundable once consumption has begun, except where the law requires otherwise.
  • Seats. On team plans, owners, admins and members occupy paid seats; viewers are free. Adding people beyond your paid seats is blocked until seats are added, which adjusts your subscription with proration.
  • Some capabilities (for example premium templates, connecting external AI agents, or print-grade export where so configured) require an eligible paid plan.

Refunds and your EU withdrawal right

Because the Service is delivered immediately, you expressly request performance to begin at purchase and acknowledge that, once the digital service has been fully performed for the paid period, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right lapses to the extent permitted by EU consumer law. Beyond statutory rights, refunds are at our discretion; if something went wrong, contact us through the contact form and we will try to make it right.

Your content

  • You own your content. Designs you create and files you upload remain yours.
  • You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit, display and back up your content solely to operate and improve the Service. This includes sending relevant content to AI model providers when you invoke an AI feature, and relaying it through our collaboration infrastructure when you edit or share.
  • We do not use your content to train AI models.
  • You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload (images, fonts, logos, data files) and for what you create with the Service.

AI features and output

  • AI output is generated by machine models and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to output generated for others. You are responsible for reviewing AI output and confirming it is suitable and lawful for your use, especially before commercial use or print production.
  • To the extent we hold any rights in AI output generated for you, we assign them to you. We make no warranty that AI output is original or non-infringing.
  • AI usage is metered in credits and subject to fair-use limits; we may throttle or queue abusive or automated usage patterns that degrade the Service for others.

Templates

Templates in the gallery are provided for use within the Service: you may customise them and use the resulting designs for any purpose, including commercially. You may not extract, resell or redistribute templates (or trivially modified copies) as templates or competing template libraries. Premium templates require an eligible plan.

Sharing and collaboration

Share links are capability URLs: anyone who has the link gets the access level you granted (view or edit). You are responsible for where you send links; you can revoke a link or set an expiry at any time. Workspace members act under the role you assign them.

External agents (MCP)

Eligible plans can mint agent tokens allowing external AI agents to create and edit designs through our MCP interface. Tokens act with your permissions; you are responsible for agents you connect and should revoke tokens you no longer use.

Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • create, host or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive (including scams or counterfeit branding), hateful, or sexually exploitative of minors;
  • violate others' intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights;
  • probe, disrupt or overload the Service, circumvent metering, quotas or plan gating, or resell access to the Service;
  • misrepresent AI-generated material where disclosure is legally required.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this section. Enforcement is human-reviewed; we do not run automated surveillance of your designs.

Availability and disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that files will meet the requirements of any particular print provider, or that AI output will meet your expectations. Nothing in these terms limits warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or EUR 50 if you have paid nothing). We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. On termination we will, on request made within 30 days, provide a reasonable opportunity to export your designs, after which we may delete your data in line with the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.

Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that constitutes acceptance. The date above reflects the latest revision.
