Review approvals

Use approvals when a reviewer needs to give a clear decision on a saved design. The Approval block sits at the top of the Comments panel. It shows the current status and who has weighed in.

Give a decision

Choose Approve when the design is ready. Choose Request changes when it needs more work, and add a note explaining what should change. The note appears with your vote, where the designer can act on it. For feedback tied to a particular object, add a comment pin too.

Each person has one current vote. Selecting your active vote again withdraws it; selecting the other decision replaces it. People without permission to review do not see voting controls. Invite them to the design with the right access before asking for a decision.

Read the status

The block shows Pending, Approved, or Changes requested. A request for changes takes precedence when reviewers disagree, so read the notes before treating a design as finished. Votes can be marked Stale after the design changes. A stale approval describes an earlier version, so ask the reviewer to look again before relying on it.

Approvals record the team's review. They do not freeze the document or replace a version snapshot. If you need to preserve the approved state, create a version before making more edits.
